Welcome to the Insect Pest Control Laboratory of the Joint FAO/IAEA Centre of Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture. This laboratory implements environmentally friendly and sustainable methods to control major insect pests that harm crops, animals and humans. It focuses on an area-wide integrated pest management approach, applying the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) to enhance food security and international trade.
