The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a meeting at the Agency's headquarters starting at 10:30 CET on Tuesday, 15 December 2015, in Boardroom C of the C-Building, in the Vienna International Centre (VIC).
The Board will consider a report by the Director General providing the final assessment on past and present outstanding issues regarding Iran’s nuclear programme.

Seeding Better Soil: IAEA Hosts Conference to Mark the International Year of Soils

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in cooperation with the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and in partnership with the International Union of Soil Scientists (IUSS), is hosting a one-day conference on 7 December 2015 to coincide with World Soil Day (5 December) and mark the completion of the 2015 International Year of Soils. The meeting will bring together more than 100 experts in soil science to review the achievements made over the years, as well as future challenges and opportunities.

Report on Fukushima Daiichi Accident to Be Discussed on Sidelines of the IAEA General Conference

The recently published IAEA Director General’s Report on the Fukushima Daiichi Accident, along with five technical volumes by international experts, will be presented and discussed during an event held on the sidelines of the IAEA General Conference.

The report assesses the causes and consequences of the 11 March 2011 accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Japan, triggered by a tsunami that followed a massive earthquake.
