IAEA Experts to Visit Japan to Present Results of Fukushima Seawater Analysis Comparison, Take New Samples
Two IAEA marine experts will visit Japan from 4 to 7 November 2014 to report on a comparison of sea water analysis between Japanese and IAEA laboratories, as well as results from a proficiency test of 30 laboratories, including 12 from Japan.

A conference organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Beijing from 27 to 31 October 2014 will focus on challenges faced by technical and scientific support organizations (TSOs) in providing assistance for nuclear and radiation safety and security to regulators and operators. The event aims to assess and review ways to further improve the effectiveness of TSOs, also taking into account lessons learned from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident.

St. Petersburg -- The 25th IAEA Fusion Energy Conference (FEC 2014) will be held from 13 to 18 October 2014 in Saint Petersburg, the Russian Federation.
The event, hosted by the Government of the Russian Federation through the Rosatom Nuclear Energy State Corporation, provides a forum for the discussion of key physics and technology issues as well as innovative concepts of direct relevance to fusion as a source of nuclear energy. The Conference is the world's largest conference in the field of nuclear fusion.

Representatives from the 162 Member States of the IAEA will meet at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) on Monday, 22 September 2014, starting at 10:00 CET, for the five-day IAEA annual General Conference to discuss major topics on the Organization's agenda.

The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a meeting at the Agency's headquarters starting at 10:30 CEST on Monday, 15 September 2014 in Boardroom C of the C-Building, in the Vienna International Centre (VIC).
The Board of Governors meeting is closed to the press.
Director General Yukiya Amano will open the meeting with an introductory statement. His statement will be released to journalists after delivery and posted on the IAEA website.

The IAEA International Symposium on Understanding Moderate Malnutrition in Children for Effective Interventions will be held on 26 to 29 May 2014, at the IAEA Headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
