At the UN 2023 Water Conference, gaps in water-related data and information were consistently highlighted as impediments to countries being able to effectively manage their water resources. In response to this global need, the IAEA launched the Global Water Analysis Laboratory (GloWAL) Network to improve human and technical capacity in water analysis and monitoring, with the ultimate objective of providing decisionmakers with the necessary data to better manage for water resources under a changing climate. This event will inform participants about progress made on the Water Action Agenda resulting from the UN Water Conference and will discuss how GloWAL empowers countries to develop water management capacities to support this international effort.
