Objective

The Safety Requirements on Preparedness and Response for a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency (IAEA Safety Standards Series No. GSR Part 7) was published in 2015 under the joint sponsorship of 13 international intergovernmental organizations. Requirement 25 of this publication requires governments to ensure that personnel relevant for response are taking part in regular training, drills and exercises to ensure they are able to perform their assigned response functions effectively and this requirement is specific to every Emergency Preparedness Category Facility and Activity.

This webinar will provide an overview of the EPR Series Publication Preparation, Conduct and Evaluation of Exercises to Test Preparedness for a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency (EPR-Exercise 2005) which provides guidance on every stage of the exercise process. This webinar will focus both on this basis document, and the revisions in the updated publication of EPR-Exercise.
