Description

The first webinar for the series is focused on the challenges embarking countries faced before moving forward with their nuclear power programmes as well as good practices identified throughout Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR) missions. The event is based on the content of the recently published TECDOC “Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR): Ten Years of Lessons Learned”. It will cover lessons learnt and outstanding practices of the Member States identified during the INIR missions.

By attending this webinar, you will:

  • understand the role of the Government (through the NEPIO) in coordinating the activities of the main stakeholders involved in a nuclear power programme;
  • increase awareness of the roles and responsibilities of the owner/operator and regulatory body during construction, commissioning, and preparation for operation; and
  • gain in-depth knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of a technical support organization.
