Robinson, Soraya

Soraya Robinson, Prof. MD, is a general radiologist with a special focus on head and neck radiology. She grew up and was trained in Vienna, Austria.

She worked at the University Hospital in Vienna until 2001, and until 2005 at the University Hospital in Helsinki, Finland. Since then, she has been one of 14 radiologists in Diagnose Zentrum Urania in Vienna, an imaging institute on an outpatient basis with all modalities.

She is an active member of the Austrian Radiological Society, is on the Executive Committee of the European Society for Head and Neck Radiology and plays an active part in the European Society for Radiology, where she established the Case-Based Diagnosis Training. In 2021 she will be Congress President for the ESHNR in Salzburg, and has organized the first ESHNR online teaching weeks in autumn 2020 as a replacement of the postponed congress in 2020. She also initiated the ESHNR mentoring programme.

She reviews for Radiology, Insights into Imaging, European Radiology and Neuroradiology and is an invited speaker for national and international courses and conferences. She is on the Editorial Board of Aunt Minnie Europe, and takes a special interest in the temporomandibular joint and maxillofacial imaging. She also participates in the Austrian Breast Screening Programme.

She lives in Vienna with her husband and has an adult son.
