Hacker, Marcus

Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Marcus Hacker is a university professor of the Medical University of Vienna and Manager of the Clinical Department of Nuclear Medicine at Vienna General Hospital (Allgemeinen Krankenhaus Wien - AKH).

Completed his medical studies in 1998 in Erlangen and Munich. Research Assistant at the Institute of Biochemistry of the Chair of Physiological Chemistry (1990 – 1991). Scientific assistant in the clinic and polyclinic for nuclear medicine at the LMU Munich (2000 - 2007). In 2004 received a degree as a specialist in nuclear medicine.

Since 2007 senior physician for cardiovascular imaging and deputy head of PET / CT at the clinic and polyclinic for nuclear medicine at LMU Munich. In 2009 became Senior Consultant and Deputy Director of the Clinic and Polyclinic for Nuclear Medicine at LMU Munich and in 2012 Head of Preclinical Imaging. In 2012 appointment as extraordinary professor at LMU Munich.

Since 2013, university professor of nuclear medicine and head of the clinical department for nuclear medicine at the Medical University of Vienna.
