Franzese, Ciro

Ciro Franzese, MD, is Assistant Professor in Radiotherapy at Humanitas University – Department of Biomedical Sciences - Radiotherapy and Radiosurgery of Humanitas Clinical and Research Hospital.

He graduated from Naples University Faculty of Medicine in 2007 and obtained his post-graduate degree in Radiation Oncology at Florence University in 2014. From 2015 he worked as Assistant Radiation Oncology in Humanitas Clinical and Research Center and from 2019 as Assistant Professor at Humanitas University.

Prof. Franzese has been involved in the implementation of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and radiosurgery both for the treatment of primary tumors and oligometastatic disease.

He is a tutor for residents in radiation oncology, medical oncology and radiology at Humanitas University, and a teacher for schools in advanced radiotherapy techniques such as VMAT, IGRT, SBRT and SRS.

Prof. Franzese is a principal investigator and co-investigator in several prospective national and international trials. He has published over 100 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals and books chapters.
