IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano today met with Iranian Vice-President and Chairman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi.
During the meeting at the IAEA’s headquarters in Vienna – part of an ongoing dialogue between the two sides – they discussed the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Upon the request of the United Nations Security Council and the IAEA Board of Governors, the Agency is verifying and monitoring Iran’s nuclear-related commitments under the JCPOA.
