An article Unintended and Accidental Medical Radiation Exposures in Radiology: Guidelines on Investigation and Prevention was published in Journal of Radiological Protection. It sets out guidelines for managing radiation exposure incidents involving patients in diagnostic and interventional radiology.

It builds upon the experience of representatives of international and national organizations for radiologists, medical physicists, radiographers, regulators, and equipment manufacturers, derived from the International Atomic Energy Agency Technical Meeting on Preventing unintended and accidental medical exposure in Radiology, 6 - 8 March 2017.
