A special Information Session on the International Centre for Synchrotron-Light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East (SESAME) was held at IAEA headquarters on Wednesday, 29 May 2013.
SESAME is an intergovernmental science centre in Allan, Jordan, set up under the auspices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on the model of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). The special information session briefed Member State representatives on the purpose of the SESAME, its current status and the cooperation of the IAEA with the SESAME Members.
