RPOP Celebrates Sending The 100th Update to Its Subscribers

This month, the RPOP celebrates sending the 100th update to its subscribers.

For more than 10 years, RPOP followers regularly receive information about the latest news, events and publications in radiation protection in medicine straight to their mailboxes. Health professionals, students of medicine, and anyone interested in this area are welcome to sign up for this monthly update. It is currently being sent to more than 12 000 users and we hope to extend these numbers in the next 100 updates.

The original RPOP creator, Professor Madan M Rehani, currently the Director of Global Outreach for Radiation Protection in Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA, wished RPOP many more successes. He has also provided us with few words on how the RPOP and it updates shaped the field of radiation protection in medicine: “The difference the RPOP website has made to millions of health professionals through their use of training material provided for free download on the website, the 10 pearl posters in over 22 languages, the coverage of key information through catchy questions and short answers in various areas of practice like computed tomography (CT), interventional fluoroscopy, mammography, nuclear medicine, hybrid imaging, radiotherapy, dental, dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry, urology, gastroenterology, orthopedic surgery, information for referring physicians …. is something that is simply evident by access and download statistics. Moreover the information for patients extended outreach to direct beneficiaries of all actions.”

As RPOP is maturing, our services are rejuvenating. We are currently working on the new design of the update and the website and we hope to soon present you with more information.

On the occasion of this anniversary, RPOP has prepared a small statistical overview of the history and facts about the RPOP update.

The RPOP team would like to thank all its subscribers and followers for their support!
