In the April 2011 statement on tissue reactions and in Publication 118 of the International Commission on Radiological Protection, a reduction in the equivalent eye dose limit in occupational exposure was recommended.
In response to this statement, IRPA has initiated a process to survey the views of the Associate Societies worldwide and to provide a medium for discussion on the implications of implementation of the new limits for the lens of the eye in occupational exposure. IRPA has established Task Group (TG) focused on this issue.
