IAEA and Dubai Health Authority Sign Practical Arrangement to Build Capacities in Nuclear Medicine

Mr Dazhu Yang, Deputy Director General of IAEA's Technical Cooperation Department, and Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammad  Al Jassmi, Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Health Authority.

The IAEA and the Dubai Health Authority are now working together to develop and enhance the IAEA Curricula for Nuclear Medicine Professionals (ICNMP), a state-of-the-art training programme which aims to improve, broaden and continuously update the knowledge of nuclear medicine professionals around the world.

Under the practical arrangement, which is a document defining the scope of cooperation under this new venture, and signed by both organizations, the IAEA and the Dubai Health Authority will jointly: collaborate to train nuclear medicine professionals through the ICNMP platform, organize meetings and workshops on clinical nuclear medicine and related disciplines, exchange data and experiences, and to promote the success and availability of the IAEA Curricula.

Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammad  Al Jassmi, Chief Executive Officer, of the Dubai Health Authority, and Dazhu Yang, Deputy Director General of IAEA Technical Cooperation Department, signed the Practical Arrangement on 19 February 2016 at the IAEA Headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
