Each year on 4 February, the world pauses in recognition of World Cancer Day, and in consideration of the growing burden which the disease represents to all people, in both developed and developing countries. The IAEA stands alongside cancer victims and survivors, oncologists and radiotherapists, national policy-makers and decision-makers in supporting the global campaign against the cancer epidemic.
To mark World Cancer Day, the IAEA's Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT) organized a series of engaging, informative and entertaining events to build awareness and sensitivity around the subject of cancer.
