The 5th GEC-ESTRO workshop will be organized in Rome, Italy, from 30 November to 1 December 2017. The workshop will focus on brachytherapy.
Each working group will have the opportunity to show their ongoing projects. It should help the brachytherapy community to identify common issues to exchange experience. The idea is also to increase networking between GEC-ESTRO members and other attendees interested in brachytherapy. This kind of information exchange is often not possible during large scientific meetings with busy schedules.
The workshop will cover the following topics:
- Head and neck and eye brachytherapy;
- Quality and costs in brachytherapy;
- Breast and skin brachytherapy - recent perspectives;
- Organ volumes, dose and toxicity for brachytherapy in pelvic malignancies.
