The IAEA’s Division of Nuclear Security supports states worldwide in their efforts to prevent the smuggling of radioactive materials across borders. It does this by providing training and detection equipment to national civil protection and border control authorities. For several years, the Republic of Moldova has been working closely with the IAEA in the nuclear security field.
