Registration

Online registration is closed however registration is still possible by sending a completed Participation Form (Form A) through the competent official authority (Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the National Atomic Energy Authority) to the IAEA. Participant/-s will be accepted only if the Participation Form is transmitted through the competent official authority of a Member State of the IAEA or by an international organization invited to participate.

In this regard, Permanent Missions are kindly reminded to communicate to the IAEA Secretariat the name of the Head of Delegation to the conference.

Venue

The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The International Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Power in the 21st Century will take place at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi. Located on Saadiyat Island, the hotel is only a 15 minute drive away from Abu Dhabi’s city centre.

Hotel Information

Participants are expected to make their own travel and hotel arrangements. Accommodation at special rates has been negotiated by the local organizers at below listed hotels.

Please note that the IAEA is not in a position to assist participants with hotel bookings nor can the IAEA assume responsibility for paying cancellation fees or for re-bookings and no shows.

Transfer to and from St. Regis will be offered from Park Hyatt (Saadiyat Island), Yas Plaza (Radisson Blu Hotel, Centro Yas Island-by Rotana, Park Inn by Radisson Abu Dhabi Yas Island) as well as Southern Sun Hotel (Downtown Abu Dhabi).

You may also wish to use a hotel booking platform (such as www.agoda.com or www.booking.com) for hotel reservations, since cancellation policies are not as strict as when booking directly at the hotel or the travel agency.

Exhibitions

The conference venue will include a limited exhibition area. The booths will be unified, with the focus on digital displays. Exhibition space will be assigned to Member States on a ‘first come first served’ basis and subject to availability. Each interested Member State is kindly asked to contact the Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates to the IAEA by e-mail (contact point: Ms Jil Huber, PR Officer: jil.huber@uae-iaea.org) to reserve space and receive further details on modalities and logistical arrangements for the exhibition area.

Interpretation

Disclaimer Concerning Simultaneous Interpretation

The simultaneous interpretation of the proceedings, including Closed Captioning, is provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) with the purpose of facilitating communication, in light of the fact that there are six official languages of the United Nations. Only the speech or intervention in the original language is authentic and constitutes an authentic record of the proceedings. In case of any inconsistency between the interpretation and the speech or intervention in the original language, the latter shall prevail.

Live Video Streaming

The Conference proceedings in the Plenary Hall, including the opening statements of officials and delegates, will be streamed live. A link to the video streaming service will be provided prior to the Conference.

IAEA Conferences and Meetings App

The IAEA Conferences and Meetings App provides a one-stop access to information on the Conference, exhibitions and scheduled side events. Via this app participants will be able to view the latest conference programme, message other participants, and view presentations released after the event. Participants will receive an email inviting them to register for the app approximately one week before the conference.
