Isotope Hydrology Collaboration Site

The Isotope Hydrology Collaboration Site gives registered users access to interact with the IAEA on a wide variety of water-related resources, including specialized scientific publications, software, coordinated research projects, training materials and laboratory proficiency testing.

The largest and most popular collaborative effort is the Global Network for Isotopes in Precipitation (GNIP). GNIP is a worldwide observation network of stable isotope and tritium in monthly precipitation samples initiated in 1960 by the IAEA and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and is operated in cooperation with numerous partner institutions in IAEA Member States.

The Site also gives collaborative access to the Global Network for Isotopes in Rivers (GNIR). GNIR is a global collaborative observation programme dedicated to the compilation of stable isotopic data of world’s rivers and the ongoing collection of data related to water quality. All data can be publicly accessed through the WISER data portal.
