The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a meeting at the Agency's headquarters starting at 10:30 CET on Monday, 7 March, in M-Building Plenary Hall, in the Vienna International Centre (VIC).
Board discussions are expected to include: nuclear and radiation safety; strengthening the Agency’s activities related to nuclear science, technology and applications; verification and monitoring in the Islamic Republic of Iran in light of United Nations Security Council resolution 2231 (2015); application of safeguards in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea; implementation of the NPT safeguards agreement in the Syrian Arab Republic; NPT Safeguards Agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran; the safety, security and safeguards implications of the situation in Ukraine; and transfer of the nuclear materials in the context of AUKUS and its safeguards in all aspects under the NPT.
The Board of Governors meeting is closed to the press.

There will be a photo opportunity before the start of the Board meeting, at 10:15 in the M-Building Plenary Hall.
Press Conference:
IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi will hold a press conference at 13:00 CET, in the Press Room of the M-building at the VIC. A live video stream of the press conference will be available. The IAEA can provide video footage from the press conference upon request. Photos from the press conference will be available on IAEA Flickr.
Accreditation:
All journalists interested in participating in person at the press conference or at the photo op must register with the Press Office by 8:30 CET on Monday, 7 March. Please email press@iaea.org.
Press Working Area:
The Press Room on the M-Building's ground floor will be available as a press working area starting from 9:00 CET on 7 March.
COVID-19 Guidelines:
Journalists are reminded of the requirements related to the low epidemiological risk when entering the VIC. All physical participants need to show proof of one of the following - a valid PCR test no older than 48 hours or a proof of vaccination or recovery.
They are reminded that FFP2 masks must be worn in all common spaces in the VIC, including meeting rooms and are encouraged to keep two meters distance to others, if possible.
