Member State Representatives to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Cancer experts, and UN staff are speaking out for better access to cancer care across the world in a film highlighting the launch of the #CancerCare4All campaign at the 59th IAEA General Conference in Vienna, Austria. The visual and interactive campaign highlights the persistent inequalities people face in many countries in accessing lifesaving cancer services.
"If you live in a poor country you are almost fighting the odds of surviving cancer," said Célestin Monga, Managing Director of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the IAEA, Abel Adelakun Ayoko, stressed that "everyone in the world, women and children, whether in developing or developed countries should have access to cancer treatment."
Cancer survival should not be left to chance.
