International Workshop on Emergency Consequence Management
The purpose of this event is to present best practices on national arrangements for monitoring, sampling, and assessment during a nuclear or radiological emergency. It is recognized among organizations responsible for emergency management (including those responsible for the management of conventional emergencies) that good preparedness in advance of an emergency can substantially improve the emergency response. Moreover, one of the most important features of the preparations is that they are integrated among the different bodies involved, ensuring clear lines of responsibility and authority. This workshop will provide an update on the latest international guidance and standards for responders from various disciplines involved in the response to a radiation emergency.
