Ms Faouzia Mebarki, Ambassador, Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of Algeria to the IAEA, and Mr Dazhu Yang, IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation, signed Algeria’s Country Programme Framework (CPF) for the period of 2018–2023 on 21 September 2017. Algeria has been an IAEA Member State since 1963. Its 2018–2023 CPF identifies five priority areas:

  1. Radiation Safety;
  2. Food and Agriculture;
  3. Health and Nutrition;
  4. Water and Environment;
  5. Energy and Industry.
