The Radiation Protection of Patients Unit of the IAEA is continuing in its successful initiative: free webinars on topics in radiation protection in medical uses of ionizing radiation. The first webinar was broadcasted one year ago - in February 2016 and since then the IAEA held already 7 webinars. The recordings from these webinars are available on the RPOP webpage.
The IAEA is glad to present the Series of Joint Webinars on Imaging for Children: Using the Radiation Protection Principles of Image Gently. Next webinar is scheduled for 23 February 2017 at 15:00 CET, on the topic: “Image Gently: Optimization of radiography in children – the case of chest radiographs”.
Our new format of the webinar includes more speakers. The presenter will be Prof. Kimberly E. Applegate from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. The panellists will be Prof. Hesta Friedrich-Nel and Ms. Ms. Beatrix Kotzé, both from Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
