RAS4031 RTC on Electricity and Water Demand Assessment

On 18-29 October, 2009 in Kuwait City, Kuwait, the first training activity for GCC countries was carried out under RAS/4/031 Planning and Developing Nuclear Power, so as to assist the GCC countries in building human capacity for planning and development of nuclear power.

The focus of the Training Course was on Electricity and Water Demand Assessment for Nuclear Energy Planning in the GCC countries.

The objective of the regional project RAS/4/031 is to enhance regional capacity for conducting energy studies and to strengthen national and regional infrastructures introducing nuclear power for electricity generation and water desalination in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
