The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a meeting at the Agency's headquarters starting at 10:00 CET on Tuesday, 25 August 2015, in Boardroom A of the M-Building in the Vienna International Centre (VIC).
The Board of Governors meeting is closed to the press.
Director General Yukiya Amano will open the meeting with an introductory statement. His statement will be released to journalists after delivery and posted on the IAEA website. Director General Amano is also expected to hold a News Conference at 14:00 CET on Tuesday, 25 August 2015, in the Press Room of the M-Building.
Live video streaming of the News Conference will be available online from 14:00 CET (no login needed). Please note that the video stream will be broadcast on a view-only channel.
Board discussions are expected to include verification and monitoring in the Islamic Republic of Iran in light of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 (2015), and the financial implications for the Agency.
Photo-Op:
There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning of each session of the Board meeting.
Press Working Area:
The Press Room on the M-Building's ground floor will be available as a press working area starting from 08:30 CET on 25 August 2015. The area outside Board Room A of the M-Building will also be set up for the media, with high capacity WiFi available (no password required).
Accreditation:
All journalists are requested to inform the IAEA Press Office of their plans to attend. Journalists with permanent credentials to the VIC need no additional credentials. We encourage those journalists who do not yet have permanent accreditation, to request it at UNIS Vienna.
