Press Arrangements for IAEA Board of Governors Meeting, 7 March 2016

The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a meeting at the Agency's headquarters starting at 10:30 CET on Monday, 7 March 2016, in Boardroom C of the C-Building, in the Vienna International Centre (VIC). 

The Board’s provisional agenda includes the Nuclear Safety Review 2016; the Nuclear Technology Review 2016; a technical cooperation project to strengthen capacity in Latin America and the Caribbean to apply the Sterile Insect Technique to control disease-transmitting Aedes mosquitoes; and nuclear verification in the Islamic Republic of Iran in light of United Nations Security Council resolution 2231 (2015), as well as nuclear verification in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Syrian Arabic Republic.

The Board of Governors meeting is closed to the press.

Director General Yukiya Amano is expected to hold a news conference on Monday, 7 March 2016 at 14:30 CET in the Press Room of the M building.

Live video streaming of the news conference will be available online from 14:30 CET (no login needed). Please note that the video stream will be broadcast on a view-only channel.

Photo-Op

There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning of each session of the Board meeting.

Press Working Area

The Press Room on the M-Building's ground floor will be available as a press working area starting from 8:30 CET on 7 March 2016. The area outside Board Room C in C04 will also be set up for the media, with high capacity WiFi available (no password required).

Accreditation

All journalists are requested to inform the IAEA Press Office of their plans to attend. Journalists with permanent credentials to the VIC need no additional credentials. We encourage those journalists who do not yet have permanent accreditation, to request it at UNIS Vienna.
