International Nuclear Library Network (INLN)

The International Nuclear Library Network (INLN) is a global forum of nuclear libraries, information centres and organizations that share similar information management and research missions. Established in 2005, the network is coordinated by the IAEA Library. There are currently 63 members from 44 IAEA Member States.

IAEA Member States depend on access to credible sources of scientific and technical information in order to implement nuclear applications and technology in a safe, secure and peaceful manner. The INLN fosters resource sharing through international cooperation and promotes best practices to facilitate knowledge management and effective, reliable, and timely access to nuclear information.

INLN services

Recognizing the ever-increasing need for specialized nuclear information resources, the INLN aims to enhance cross-organizational services and advance research and information retrieval skills within the network. Members share their resources through interlibrary loan, research support, and document delivery.

Services provided by the IAEA Library to INLN members include:

• Interlibrary loans of articles, books and audio-visual material.
• Document delivery of journals, and IAEA reports and information materials.
• Research support.
• Guidance and training sessions on nuclear information and knowledge management.

Fostering international partnerships and optimizing access to resources and information, the IAEA Library also maintains links to the online public access catalogues (OPACs) and repositories of INLN members. Users can search for items such as nuclear and scientific literature, international standards and patents, and organizational publications.
