Description

The event will feature young nuclear professionals who will exchange perspectives on the role of nuclear power and other clean energy sources in the fight against climate change and decarbonization of world economies. This event will be opened by the IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Nuclear Energy, followed by four short dialogues from different speakers and will end with a Q&A session.

Considering the momentum to spotlight the new generation of nuclear professionals within the ‘Youth4Climate: Driving Ambition’ initiative at the Pre-COP, the IAEA will host this event to highlight the importance of early youth engagement in the clean energy sector.  Appropriate and timely engagement of young scientists, engineers and decision makers is crucial for a future where nuclear power, as a clean energy source, plays an important role as part of the solution to move away from coal.
