The IAEA's NUCLEUS information resource portal provides access to over 100 scientific, technical and regulatory resources, including databases, applications, publications and training material. As it is mainly meant for IAEA counterparts in the government, industry and scientific community, NUCLEUS hosts a number of resources that require registration. Many sites, however, can be accessed without a password.
NUCLEUS information resources
Emergency Preparedness and Response Resources
Through its Incident and Emergency Centre (IEC), the IAEA maintains four online tools and mechanisms to share information and data on emergency preparedness and response for nuclear and radiological incidents and emergencies.
EMPIRE – Nuclear Reaction Model Code
EMPIRE is a flexible and easy-to-use tool for the basic research and evaluation of nuclear data.
ENDF Pre-processing Codes
The ENDF/B Pre-processing codes (PREPRO), is a collection of 18 computer codes, which are designed to convert ENDF/B formatted neutron and/or photon data from the originally distributed form to a form in which the data can be used in applications. The ENDF/B Pre-Processing Codes run on any operating system. PREPRO output is compatible with FORTRAN, C and C++. The codes are developed and maintained by Dermott E. Cullen.
ENDVER
ENDF File Verification Support Package. Experimental and evaluated nuclear reaction data are compiled world-wide in EXFOR and in ENDF format, respectively (see documents IAEA-NDS-1 and IAEA-NDS-10).
ENSDF Analysis and Utility Programmes
ENSDF Analysis and Utility programmes (ALPHAD, LOGFT, etc.)
Evaluated Nuclear Data File
Core nuclear reaction database containing evaluated cross sections, spectra, angular distributions, fission product yields, photo-atomic and thermal scattering law data, with emphasis on neutron induced reactions.
Evaluated Nuclear Structure Data File
ENSDF is a database that contains evaluated nuclear structure and decay information for over 3,000 nuclides.
Experimental Nuclear Reaction Data
This database, also known as EXFOR library, contains an extensive compilation of experimental nuclear reaction data, comprising data from more than 22,000 experiments.
External Events Safety Section (EESS) portal
The EESS portal is a platform and working space for registered users that allows them to collaborate on extrabudgetary IAEA projects related to site evaluation and the protection of nuclear installations against external hazards.
Food Contaminant and Residue Information System
FCRIS is a resource on chemical food contaminants with a focus on Codex food standards and guidelines and on reducing the incidence of food trade rejections as a result of chemical contaminants and violative levels of residues.
Fuel Incident Notification and Analysis System (FINAS)
Through the Fuel Incident Notification and Analysis System (FINAS), participating Member States share operational experiences to improve the safety of fuel cycle facilities.
Fusion Evaluated Nuclear Data Library
This Library contains selected evaluated nuclear data files in ENDF-6 format.
