IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano reported that in countries considering introducing nuclear power interest remains strong, despite the Fukushima Daiichi accident, mainly due to increasing global demand for energy, as well as concerns about climate change, dwindling reserves of oil and gas and uncertainty of supply of fossil fuels.
