15, Thursday: Dr. ElBaradei & IAEA Honoured at Nobel Forum in USA. Augustana College in the United States hosted the 19th Nobel Peace Prize Forum 9-10 March 2007 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This year´s forum honored the works and efforts of Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei and the IAEA. The Forum - entitled Striving for Peace: The Impact of One - challenged the notion that the impact of one individual makes no difference. 16, Monday: Dr. ElBaradei Congratulates 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Winner. In a letter dated 16 October 2006, IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei congratulated Dr. Muhammad Yumas and the Grameen Bank for winning the Nobel Peace Prize for 2006. "The Peace Prize could not have gone to a more deserving person or institution in recognizing your invaluable efforts to help large numbers of disadvantaged people to remove themselves from the scourge of poverty," the Director General said. JUNE 2006

20, Tuesday: Children in Spain Send Nobel Peace Prize Wishes to Dr. ElBaradei. Children stand high on the list of well-wishers to Nobel Laureate Mohamed ElBaradei. One school in Fuenlabrada, a suburb of Madrid celebrates "Peace Day" every year on 27 January. Full Story

16, Tuesday: IAEA Nobel Fund for Cancer Care, Nutrition Focuses on Fellowships. The IAEA´s special Fund to support fellowships and training for better cancer management and childhood nutrition in the developing world is gaining ground. APRIL 2006

24, Tuesday: IAEA Staff Nobel Reception. IAEA staff celebrated winning the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize, at a reception held in their honour on 24 January 2006, at the Agency´s Vienna headquarters in Austria. 7 - 11, Wednesday - Friday: Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony. The Nobel Peace Prize celebrations were held in Oslo, Norway. The IAEA and its Director General, Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei jointly won this year´s prize. On 10 December, the Agency and Dr. ElBaradei were honoured with the Peace Prize from the Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee in the presence of the King of Norway. Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei delivered a peace lecture at the ceremony.
