IAEA Survey on the Current Status of Nuclear Knowledge Preservation in Member States
13 March 2007 - An IAEA Coordinated Research Project (CRP) on "Comparative Analysis of Methods and Tools for Nuclear Knowledge Preservation" supports the preservation of nuclear knowledge in Member States and the IAEA by selecting and implementing appropriate cost-effective technological solutions. To support this CRP, a questionnaire survey is being conducted to determine the current and anticipated status of nuclear knowledge preservation in Member States. The survey aims at obtaining information on:
- The status of nuclear knowledge preservation in institutions in Member States
- Methods and tools applied in the knowledge preservation life cycle
- Management approaches and practices used in knowledge preservation
The results will support the formulation of recommendations and conclusions on good practices in knowledge preservation, and will help establish contact among knowledge preservation practitioners in different organisations in Member States.
