Suspension

The Agreement (reproduced in document INFCIRC/193) of 5 April 1973, and the Protocol thereto, between Belgium, Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the European Atomic Energy Community and the Agency in Connection with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons in implementation of Article III(1) and (4) of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (reproduced in document INFCIRC/140) came into force for Sweden on 1 June 1995.
As a result of the coming into force of the aforesaid Agreement for Sweden, the application of safeguards under the Agreement (reproduced in document INFCIRC/234) of 14 April 1975, which entered into force on the same date, between Sweden and the Agency for the Application of Safeguards in Connection with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons has been suspended.
