IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei this week circulated his latest report on the Agency´s nuclear verification in Iran to the IAEA´s Member States.

The Agency´s 35-member Board of Governors will consider the report at its next meetings beginning in Vienna 6 March. The document´s circulation is restricted and unless the IAEA Board decides otherwise the Agency cannot authorize release to the public.

The IAEA Board last met on nuclear safeguards in Iran in early February 2006.

On 4 February 2006, the Board adopted a resolution requesting the IAEA Director General to report to the UN Security Council all IAEA reports and resolutions, as adopted, relating to the implementation of safeguards in Iran.
