IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano will travel to Abuja, Nigeria, from 13 to 15 December on his first official visit to a Member State. During his trip, Mr. Amano plans to highlight cancer care in developing countries and the transfer of nuclear and related technologies for peaceful use.
During his time in the federal capital region, Mr. Amano is expected to meet with senior government figures and pay visits to the National Hospital in Abuja and the Nuclear Technology Centre at Sheda, roughly 70 km outside the capital.
