Director General Official Visit to Monaco, 12-14 July 2010

IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano paid his first official visit to Monaco from 12-14 July 2010. Sacchetti/IAEA)In Monaco, Massoud Samiei, Director, IAEA Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT), graciously accepted a donation of #8364;175 000 to fund the Agency's work to assist Niger in establishing a national cancer control programme. Sacchetti/IAEA)Since 2008, Monaco has been an energetic supporter of the IAEA Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT), committing #8364;50 000 each year to fund training and education for cancer control across French-speaking Africa.  The Niger donation will be used to support expert missions and human resource training.
